The birth of a great idea

Do you like superhero stories? So do we.
This is the story of the advertising industry’s unlikely hero.
Of course, as we all know, every superhero has to have an origin story.
This is ours.

Chapter I

In the beginning…

No, we’re kidding, we’re not going to start like that…

It’s 2004, and two very different people, sat down and had an idea: “Let’s do advertising”. That’s it, end of story (as if…)

With no prior experience, but with a will to achieve, Total Impact Srl was born.

With a second-hand large format printer, and with hired help, they started making tarpaulin covers for shops, pubs and basically anyone who asked.

Chapter II

They were good

The phrase “victim of one’s own success” applies to our hero’s story.

As they started to make Total Impact Srl a household name in the business, other companies started to take notice. Big ones. “URSUS Breweries” for example.

They placed an order so large, that the tired old SH printer had to retire and make way for the younger generation: UV Printing. HP provided the flatbed solution to their “speed” deficit. So much in fact that they delivered in record time.

Everyone was impressed with the tiny company’s resolve, despite the fact that they had fierce competition and little relevant experience.

Chapter III

Growing pains

As the advertising industry became more demanding, with a large variety of materials becoming more available and affordable, things had to evolve if they wanted to maintain their share of the market.

Introducing panel and sheet processing. It’s common practice now for an advertising company to own a laser engraver or CNC cutting table. Not then. They did not only bring this technology into their arsenal, they made it available and affordable for their clients.

Now, as we all know, low prices, good quality and on demand delivery is a customer’s wish come true. So, naturally, Total Impact Srl became the Fairy Godmother for their customers. Granting nearly impossible wishes for the Area Sales Managers with increasingly demanding targets and deadlines.

Chapter IV

We are here to stay

Innovating, developing, and spearheading, are all strong and bold words. However, unfortunately for the competition, also true in the case of our hero.

It’s no secret, but rather common knowledge  that they worked on some of the best and challenging projects the business had to offer.

The now industry awarded Total Impact Srl, began selecting the projects it would take on. Choosing only the ones with a proper challenge. The ones that nobody would touch.

This is the point when they became the company everyone knew and liked to work with.

Chapter V

Enjoying the view

Being “lonely at the top” isn’t really true.

 Although progress was made, everyone is conscious that no one is irreplaceable. Therefore, constant improvement, consistent quality and reliability, are the norm of today’s Total Impact.

To quote Marcel: “It used to take you 4 hours to do this task, it only takes you 30 minutes now… This means more time to focus on improving in the same amount of time”

In conclusion, providing past, present and future clients with the perfect solution is the legacy of almost 20 years of sitting in front of a drawing board to figure it all out.
